Interested in joining?
Below are our requirements for Membership:
- Take a class! It is recommended that you take a class to get to know the feel of the club, our members and our training methods.
- Membership is open to all persons who are in good standing with the American Kennel Club (AKC) and who subscribe to the purpose of this club i.e. to be a representative of breeders, exhibitors and to promote education.
- Next, download our membership application above or pick up a paper application from the club.
- Fill out the membership application.
- Have at least two current club members to sponsor your application and mentor you as a new member.
Membership Dues
Annual Family Membership for 2+ adults is $45
Annual Single Membership for 1 adult is $35
Why should you join The Dog Training Club of Tampa?
The Dog Training Club of Tampa is a not-for-profit dog training club, 501(c)(4), staffed entirely by our wonderful members. Additionally, we hold several obedience and agility trials each year as well as our annual Summer Picnic and Holiday Party. We also compete in team events including the Dog Obedience Championship of Florida (DOCOF) and the Dog Agility Championship of Florida (DACOF). After joining the club as a member, you will be surrounded by like-minded dog-people, who will be able to help you grow and develop as a handler.
Please note: Membership is not required to take a class at DTCT. However, if you find you are volunteering often, we do offer the ability for our working members to earn DTCT bucks to put towards classes and trial entries. These “bucks” can be put towards discounted trial entries and teaching a class earns you instructor cards to use for training your own dogs in classes!
